Goddess Practice – How To Honor Your Divine Feminine With Goddess Parvati
READ 3m 45s | LISTEN 6m 20s
Goddess practice is powerful.
But how can you BE in your Goddess energy?
A fun way to be more in your sacred feminine is by getting to know the different deities from Indian mythology.
Each Goddess has a unique energy. Goddess practice helps us to heal and recultivate our sacred feminine.
Individually they reconnect us to different aspects of ourselves we may have forgotten.
Collectively the Goddesses nurture us back to wholeness.
It is a path to liberation. Especially for women in midlife.
This episode is an exploration of the energy of Goddess Parvati. Prepare to meet the Goddess of love, fertility and strength.
Hello My Lovelies ~
How are you?
Did I ever tell you about a rule I live and swear by?
Here’s the rule…
If something crosses my path more than once, I take it as a sign from the Universe. The message? Pay attention because there is something of value for you here.
It could be a book that crosses my path twice. It might be two people telling me about the same thing. Or getting similar advice from two different sources.
I sat down to write you, feeling amazing about a recent “sign from the Universe”. But then, as I was diving deeper into my thoughts, I bumped into the patriarchy. *sigh*
Let me backup…
Last week, at the grocery store, I decided to use the self-checkout register. As I entered, another woman was finishing and leaving. We bumped into each other by mistake.
Her back was to me as I apologized.
She turned and without a beat said “I’m sorry Queen”.
I felt a bolt of energy pass through me when she addressed me that way. It surprised me.
There was something about the matter-of-fact way she said it. Like, of course you’re a queen… aren’t we all?
Her comment stayed with me. I wish I had known what I was feeling when it happened. I would have tracked her down to thank her for reflecting my value and beauty to me in such a simple, five second way.
Then a few days later, while at the butcher counter, the man serving me, again addressed me as queen. He went even further, saying this to the man next to me, waiting to be served.
“You see this Queen here who’s honored us with her presence?”
The man next to me was visibly uncomfortable, lol, but whatever.

And just yesterday I had a commercial audition to play a queen.
Another woman auditioning arrived at the same time as I did. I greeted her with a “hello Queen.” She greeted me the same way. We giggled.
I really enjoyed sitting in a waiting room with a bunch of other queens. But here’s the thing…
I’ve never been a fan of the word queen. I’ve always tied it to royalty and privilege and things that I can’t relate to or support from a values perspective.
But the way that woman at the grocery check out used it, completely shifted my experience of the word.
Which just goes to show you it’s all in the intention behind how someone uses a word.
My curiosity led me to do a google search for the definition of queen.
Here’s the first thing that showed up.
noun
1. the female ruler of an independent state, especially one who inherits the position by right of birth.
2. the most powerful chess piece that each player has, able to move any number of unobstructed squares in any direction along a rank, file, or diagonal on which it stands.
verb
1. behave in an unpleasantly superior way toward (someone).
Okay the two noun definitions state facts, but WTF with the verb definition?
I immediately got pissed off.
The patriarchy will take any chance to tie women’s power to a negative trait. Imagine a little girl reading that definition. Imagine!!!!
These devaluing signals are subtle but pervasive in our culture.
Contrast this with what shows up for the definition of king
noun
1. the male ruler of an independent state, especially one who inherits the position by right of birth.
2. the most important chess piece, of which each player has one, which the opponent has to checkmate in order to win. The king can move in any direction, including diagonally, to any adjacent square that is not attacked by an opponent’s piece or pawn.
verbARCHAIC
1. make (someone) king.
I’m mean really!?
It’s even interesting how the chess pieces are described. The Queen is the most powerful but the King is the most important.
Just something to ponder.
LATEST VIDEO
This week’s video is the second in my series on Goddesses. I wanted to do them as a fun way to reconnect with the many aspects of ourselves. To give ourselves permission to express all of who we are. Especially the parts we’ve been conditioned to think are not okay.
The videos in this series are longer than usual and a lot of work. I had moments of questioning whether I should do them. So I’ve taken the Universe’s “Queen” signs as encouragement to keep going.
We are starved for affirmations of our greatness in daily life.
Stephanie Danger is here to serve as counterprogramming to that BS.
INTRODUCING THE STEPHANIE DANGER GODDESS COLLECTION
As a fun side project I have designed a collection of Goddess apparel and phone accessories to compliment the video series. I’m wearing the premium tee, with the sleeves cut off, in this week’s video.
A new design will drop with the premiere of every new episode.
Each item has a vintage style graphic of the lotus yoga pose. Underneath is a sanskrit mantra specific to each Goddess.
The Goddess Collection is a playful way to keep the energy of your favorite Goddess close, as you go about your day.
You can check out the collection in the Stephanie Danger shop
Love you,
xK
